Originally from Ghana, Ivor Placca, Artistic Director of Eclectica, lived in London for over 30 years where he was a band leader, composer, DJ, promoter and manager, spent ten years in Senegal and currently lives in Marseille since June 2016.

“a4applause” was set up to put hands together; by facilitating collaboration between artists and producers, bringing them together to make music, concerts, documentaries and films.
Operating under Eclectica with a base in Marseilles (France) we specialise in bridging the gap between Europe and Africa – artistic, professional, language and cultural.

Over the past years, we have worked on some of the most exciting festivals and artistic projects across Ghana, France, Portugal, Benin, Miami, Detroit, USA — helping artists and festivals deliver powerful performances that resonate with audiences.
